Like other young men of his time, Lyonnais Jean Grae experienced the despair of the First world war. When the world came back, he wanted to get rich in the automobile industry. In 1924, the first “Jean Gras” appeared. These were the first small 4-cylinder cars, then in 1926, Jean Gras announced the release of his new 6-cylinder car at the price of a 4-cylinder.

Despite the offer, which at the time allowed competitors to be flaunted, Jean Grae cars did not survive the economic crisis of 1929, due to which the French brand disappeared from this manufacturer.
